Caterpillar

As the caterpillar slinks along segment by segment

thirst

far above the palo verde

horizon

like oil and water

speed limit

on my drive there were so many

unrequited

the artichoke crowns extend forth

puzzle

mesquite leaves

taunting

wary of earthlings

rhythm

like the echo in a shell

funeral

a bed of grass

dry

settling in between spines and upon rocks

the true gurus

vrksasana

I just wanted to use 'petrichor'

rain plops down on

relief

clouds hold back rain

up north

the shape of the wind
